Open house.

Open house events are held twice a year -- once in October and once in April. Admission to the museum is free for these all-day events and attendees are able to hear about the latest trends in the hobby from train manufacturers.

Book signing.

Book signing events are sometimes held during these open houses and at other times, offering people the opportunity to meet authors and/or illustrators and have their books personally inscribed. These are announced as scheduled.
The Train Collectors Association is a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to develop an appreciation of and to preserve an important segment of history -- Tinplate Toy Trains -- through research, education, community outreach, fellowship, establishment of collecting standards and to promote the growth and enjoyment of collecting and operating toy, model and scale trains. These events are in furtherance of that mission.
